In a last will, a testator can:

  • Designate a Tutor or legal guardian for your minor or disabled children or designate a guardian for yourself and establish the main guidelines to be observed if you think you might become disabled and consequently, legally incapacitated at some stage of your life.
    • Determine that some assets are destined in your will to constitute a so-called “Patrimonio Protegido” on behalf of a minor or disabled person.
    • Acknowledge a child as your own.
    • Designate the person who will be in charge of the administration of any assets left to a minor, even if the minor is under his or her parents’ authority.
